My name is Glenda Neaton, and I am the owner of Neat as a Pin Textured Rolling Pins.
Neat as a Pin Textured Rolling Pins came in to being as a result of my involvement with ceramics, and not being able to find rolling pins to texture my pieces with Australian themes. The rolling pins available from overseas became very expensive with the freight added to bring them into Australia. I experimented with trying to hand-carve a few of my own before giving up in frustration.
After a lot of research, I discovered laser cutters. I am a teacher (Maths) and the school where I teach has a laser cutter, and allowed me to experiment a little. I began to draw my designs and source rolling pins, and test designs, until I sent a couple to someone. This lady (bless her heart) was so excited she told everyone, and before I knew, I had so many orders and I wasn't quite prepared!
It is my intent to keep Neat as a Pin very Australian in flavour, as there are many textured rolling pins available, but few that are uniquely Australian.
