Your new pin comes pre-treated with food grade mineral oil, the same sort that is used on chopping boards. This should be redone every 6-12 months.
When needed, wipe your pin with a damp cloth, or brush with a damp nail brush. Never try to dig clay or dough out of the engravings with a sharp object. Never put your pin in a dishwasher.
Keep your pin a cool, dry place. Never leave your pin in a hot car or in a place where extreme changes in temperature can occur.
